DRB-HICOM and Proton discuss India market expansion with Anwar

DRB-HICOM Bhd and Proton Holdings Bhd held talks with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on expanding operations into India. The meeting at Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi was also attended by Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Johari Abdul Ghani and Human Resources Minister R Ramanan. Proton had previously held talks with Mahindra & Mahindra in 2009 but they did not lead to a commercial launch in India.
