AI Malaysia: AI governance must drive innovation, not block it
AI Malaysia Bhd says AI governance and safety must enable innovation and responsible adoption rather than hinder it. The agency under the Digital Ministry lists the AI Governance Bill, the establishment of the Malaysian AI Safety Institute and the National AI Action Plan 2026-2030 as current priorities. Chairman Aireen Omar said the first board meeting yesterday set the foundation for the organisation's governance and operations.
