Malaysia women's cricket team splits T20I series with Japan in Sano

Malaysia and Japan split their three-match women's T20I cricket series 1-1 in Sano, Japan, after the first match was washed out. Malaysia won the opening match by 18 runs but lost the second by 11 runs, their first T20I defeat to Japan. The series served as preparation for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, where Malaysia will face Sri Lanka in a knockout match on Sept 18.
