ICA seizes ivory tusk hidden in tumbler at Keppel Entrance, arrests Indonesian crew member

A 30-year-old Indonesian crew member was arrested at Keppel Entrance Crew Office in Singapore on August 9, 2026, after ICA officers found an elephant ivory tusk concealed inside a modified tumbler in his baggage. He was transiting through Singapore and was referred to NParks for investigation under the Endangered Species Act, which carries fines up to S$500,000 and six years' jail.
