Business groups oppose mandatory salary range disclosure for small firms
Malaysian small-business and employer groups are pushing back against a proposal to make small companies publish salary ranges, saying it could deter jobseekers and expose SMEs to talent poaching by larger firms. Samenta and MEF suggest a voluntary, phased approach instead. Economy Minister Akmal Nasir is reported to be exploring ways to make pay offers more transparent.
