Anwar to visit Maldives 14-15 Sept, defence and Islamic affairs MOUs to be signed

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will make an official visit to the Maldives from Sept 14 to 15 at the invitation of President Mohamed Muizzu. Bilateral talks will focus on trade, investment, education, healthcare and digital integration, with two memorandums of understanding on defence cooperation and Islamic affairs to be exchanged. Bilateral trade stood at RM762.78 million in 2025, with Malaysia recording a trade surplus of RM751.67 million.
