Maritime agency foils smuggling of 1,020 packets of subsidised cooking oil in Sandakan
Malaysia's Maritime Enforcement Agency intercepted a boat in the waters off Sungai Tanjung Batu, Sandakan, early yesterday morning and seized 1,020 packets of subsidised cooking oil worth RM60,550. The boat's skipper fled into the mangroves as officers approached. The case is being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
