Cambodia, Thailand start maritime talks in Singapore
Cambodia and Thailand began conciliation proceedings in Singapore to resolve a decades-long dispute over overlapping maritime claims in the Gulf of Thailand believed to be rich in oil and gas. The first meeting of the Conciliation Commission under UNCLOS runs from 14 to 16 September at the Permanent Court of Arbitration office in Singapore.
