YouthTechSG report: addiction and doom scrolling top social media harms for young people
A new report by youth-led charity YouthTechSG, published on Sept 14, found that addiction and doom scrolling are the most commonly cited social media harms among youths in Singapore, followed by cyberbullying and inappropriate content. The findings come as the government considers measures such as daily time limits and age checks, with legislative changes expected in early 2027.
