Verstappen says he nearly quit F1 before signing Red Bull extension to 2030
Max Verstappen said he seriously considered retiring from Formula 1 before signing a contract extension with Red Bull through 2030. In an interview with German publication Bild, the four-time world champion also confirmed talks with McLaren and said he was closer to quitting than to joining another team. He is sixth in the standings after finishing second at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid.
