More than 300 bid farewell as FDS crash victim Alexson Adit laid to rest in Lambir
Alexson Adit Henry, a 31-year-old Flying Doctor Service assistant medical officer, was buried at the Anglican Cemetery in Lambir, Miri, on Sept 14 after a funeral service at Good Shepherd Church in Lutong. He was one of five people killed when an FDS helicopter crashed near the Long Lellang STOLport in Ulu Baram on Sept 8.

Jessie Paya Jok, 44, seorang jururawat Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) yang terkorban dalam nahas helikopter di Long Lellang, Baram, selamat disemadikan di Tanah Perkuburan BEM Lambir, Miri petang tadi. Beliau antara lima mangsa nahas pada 8 September lalu, yang turut merangkumi juruterbang, pegawai perubatan dan pembantu pegawai perubatan. Siasatan punca kejadian masih dijalankan oleh Biro Siasatan Kemalangan Udara (AAIB).

Jenazah Debra Moset, 40, dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Kristian St Patrick, Kampung Semadang, Padawan, hari ini. Dua anaknya, Euodia Then Suling, 15, dan Eugene Then Kuling, 12, menangis mengiringi pemakaman ibu mereka. Debra antara lima yang terkorban apabila helikopter Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara terhempas berhampiran Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Selasa lalu.

The government's Ex-Gratia Work Disaster Scheme provides a RM20,000 lump-sum payment in the event of death, besides monthly payments for surviving kin. But the scheme excludes contract officers and Socso contributors. Two FDS victims got Socso benefits.

Sarawak Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said the family of the late nurse Debra Moset, killed in the Sept 8 Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, will receive continued community and government support, including counselling and RM100,000 in aid. He spoke at her funeral wake in Kampung Semadang, Padawan, after her remains were flown from Miri to Kuching.

Debra Moset, jururawat berusia 40 tahun yang terkorban dalam nahas helikopter Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) di Long Lellang, Baram, Miri, Selasa lalu, dibawa pulang ke rumah baharunya di Kampung Semadang, Kuching untuk penghormatan terakhir. Jenazahnya tiba di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuching kira-kira 10 pagi dan akan dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan St Patrick, Semadang pada esok. Nahas itu turut mengorbankan juruterbang Kapten Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, jururawat Jessie Paya Jok dan pembantu perubatan Alexson Adit Henry.

Debra Moset's mother recalls Christmas plan for new Kampung Semadang home before Long Lellang crash
The mother of nurse Debra Moset said her daughter had planned to celebrate Christmas at her new house in Kampung Semadang, Padawan, before the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang. Renog Rasas, 71, spoke at the funeral wake on Sunday, which about 1,000 people attended, and recalled Debra's final message asking her to help tidy the house. Debra, 40, had worked in Miri and was part of the FDS team.
