Loagan Bunut homestay closes temporarily as lake dries up
Mutiara Bunut Homestay in Loagan Bunut National Park, Sarawak, has temporarily suspended operations after the lake dried up due to a severe dry spell. Owner Rolland Ayu said the closure affects bookings for August and September, and operations will resume once water levels are safe for boats. The park is about 111km from Miri city.

Miri Airport flights unaffected by haze as of noon Tuesday
As of noon Tuesday, no flights at Miri Airport have been disrupted by haze, with visibility at 3,000 metres, according to airport manager Mohd Zabidi Abdullah. Air Pollutant Index readings across Sarawak range from unhealthy to very hazardous, with Lubok Antu recording a reading of 404.
