Two motorcyclists hurt in separate crashes in Balik Pulau and Kepala Batas
Two motorcyclists were injured in separate road accidents in Penang on the same day. The first occurred near SK Titi Teras in Balik Pulau, and the second in Lorong Haji Hassan 2, Kepala Batas. Both victims were rescued by firefighters and taken to hospitals.

Penang: Juru-Sungai Dua highway Package 1 at 40.79% completion, on track for 2030
The Penang government says the Juru-Sungai Dua elevated highway project is on track for completion by 2030. Package 1, covering the route between the Juru and Sungai Dua toll plazas, is 40.79% complete and expected to finish by October next year. The RM3 billion project aims to ease congestion for about 200,000 daily users of the North-South Expressway corridor.

20-year-old from Batu Uban among 21 Penang students to receive RM1,500 PTPTN advance
Ammar Yasir Bilal, 20, from Batu Uban, is one of 21 students from the Bukit Gelugor area who received the RM1,500 PTPTN education loan advance at a ceremony in George Town. He will use the money for fees at Universiti Malaysia Perlis. PTPTN has distributed the advance to 26,457 students nationwide for the September 2026 intake.

Woman hurt by falling concrete from heritage building in George Town
