Woman dies, two hurt after lorry hits stalled car at Km 284.4 of the North-South Expressway
A 32-year-old woman was killed and her sister and a motorcyclist were seriously injured when a lorry struck their stalled Perodua Axia at Kilometre 284.4 of the North-South Expressway northbound around 9am. Police in Nilai are investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Two dead, one injured in two-lorry crash on Jalan Simpang Pulai
Two men aged 40 and 35 were killed and another was injured when two lorries collided on the Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands road near Ipoh last night. A 42-year-old man trapped in one vehicle was extricated by firefighters and taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment.

Hour of heavy rain floods parts of Ipoh, including Medan Gopeng and Sungai Rokam
Heavy rain lasting over an hour caused flash floods in several areas around Ipoh, including Medan Gopeng and Sungai Rokam. Kinta district APM monitored both locations and reported water had fully receded, with the main pump at Kampung Sungai Rokam activated. No trapped victims or evacuations were reported.

Indian man held for driving lorry without licence near Rawang
An Indian man was detained in an enforcement operation on the North-South Expressway near Rawang, Selangor. He admitted driving heavy vehicles without a valid licence or work documents for two years, earning up to RM4,000 a month. Selangor JPJ said employers who hire unlicensed foreign workers face action.

Two more remanded over fake vehicle ownership document syndicate in Perak
Two more individuals, a company owner and a car broker, were remanded for seven days until 21 September by the Ipoh Civil Magistrate's Court to assist a Perak MACC investigation. They are suspected of involvement in a syndicate forging vehicle ownership documents and bribing enforcement agency officers in Perak. The case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

Ipoh storekeeper pleads not guilty to molesting convenience store worker
A 23-year-old storekeeper was brought before the Ipoh Magistrate's Court on two charges of molesting and insulting the modesty of a 19-year-old convenience store worker. The alleged offence took place at a shop in Panorama Lapangan Perdana on 24 August. The court set bail at RM4,000 and fixed 22 October for mention.

Lorry driver killed by falling rock at Keramat Pulai quarry
A 53-year-old lorry driver, M. Sivakumar, was killed when a rock crushed his vehicle at a quarry in Keramat Pulai, Kampung Kepayang near Simpang Pulai, Perak. Fire and rescue personnel from Simpang Pulai and Gopeng extricated him using hydraulic equipment, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

MACC gets four more days to remand five vehicle transfer forgery suspects in Ipoh
The Ipoh magistrate's court extended the remand of five suspects by four days until Sept 18 in a MACC probe into forged vehicle ownership transfer documents. The five, part of 11 arrested including six RTD personnel, allegedly acted as middlemen and bribed enforcement officers in Perak.

18 motorcycles seized, four held in Ipoh street gang operation
Police in Ipoh, Perak, conducted an integrated operation against street gangs at Jalan Pasir Puteh near Station 18 early this morning. Eighteen motorcycles were seized and four individuals detained for reckless riding, while 416 traffic summonses were issued. The operation involved 66 police and environment department personnel.

Firemen trek 2km up Bukit Perak Cave Temple to bring down Nepali man's body
A Nepali man was found hanging from a tree at the summit of Bukit Perak Cave Temple on Jalan Kuala Kangsar in Ipoh. Six firemen walked about two kilometres along a hilly route to reach the body and bring it down before handing it to police. The operation began after a call at 1.33pm and ended at 4.10pm.

Malaysian woman held in New Delhi, 15kg cannabis seized
A 22-year-old Malaysian woman from Perak was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on 4 September after 30 plastic packets containing more than 15kg of cannabis were found in her trolley bag. She arrived from Kuala Lumpur on Batik Air flight OD205 and has a prior drug-related record, and remains in Indian custody.
