Police issue two summonses to Hilux driver filmed driving against traffic in Miri
Police in Miri tracked down and issued two summonses to a Toyota Hilux driver after dashcam footage of the vehicle being driven against traffic along Jalan Taman Tunku went viral. The driver was located on Monday afternoon and admitted driving against the flow to avoid waiting. He was issued two PDRM Form K257 summonses under Rule 13 of the Road Traffic Rules 166/59.

Two held over aluminium ladder theft in Miri
Police arrested two local men, aged 45 and 42, after CCTV footage showed the alleged theft of an aluminium ladder outside a house in Miri. The incident happened around 3pm on Sept 11, and the suspects were picked up in Pujut 9 and Desa Pujut Permy. The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.

Fire crew frees locked car at Kampung Tudan Fasa 6 home
A Fire and Rescue team from the Lutong station helped open a car locked from the inside at a house on Jalan Harmoni, Kampung Tudan Fasa 6, Miri. The emergency call came in at 12.52pm and the operation was completed shortly after.

More than 300 bid farewell as FDS crash victim Alexson Adit laid to rest in Lambir
Alexson Adit Henry, a 31-year-old Flying Doctor Service assistant medical officer, was buried at the Anglican Cemetery in Lambir, Miri, on Sept 14 after a funeral service at Good Shepherd Church in Lutong. He was one of five people killed when an FDS helicopter crashed near the Long Lellang STOLport in Ulu Baram on Sept 8.

Five killed in Miri flying doctor helicopter crash; 12-year-old son still waits for mother
A helicopter carrying a Health Ministry flying doctor team crashed while trying to land at Long Lellang short take-off and landing airport in Sarawak's northern interior on the afternoon of the 8th, killing all five on board. The dead include a pilot, a doctor, a medical assistant and two nurses; the mother of nurse Deborah Mors said in Miri that her grandson refuses to believe his mother is gone and keeps waiting for her to come back.

Miri police arrest man over motorcycle theft in Tudan
