1. Couple and third driver killed in crash on Kota Tinggi-Kluang road

   A husband and wife died after the Perodua Axia they were in collided with a Honda BRV at Kilometre 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi-Kluang road in Johor. The BRV's passenger, Mohd Noor Selamat, 58, was also killed. The couple were buried in a single grave at the Kampung Tanjung Buai Islamic cemetery in Kota Tinggi.

2. 171 Sungai Kim Kim victims win suit; factory and two Singaporean directors liable

   The Civil High Court in Johor Bahru found a used tyre processing factory, its two Singaporean directors and a lorry driver liable for the 2019 Sungai Kim Kim toxic waste dumping in Pasir Gudang. The 171 plaintiffs won RM100,000 in costs but failed against eight other defendants including the Johor state government; damages will be assessed later.

3. Man found dead in 1.5m drain near SMK Tun Hussein Onn, Butterworth

   A man was found dead in a 1.5-metre-deep drain near SMK Tun Hussein Onn on Jalan Siakap, Taman Kelisa Emas, Butterworth, today. The Perai Fire and Rescue Station received a call from police at 12.10pm to help lift the body, and the five-member operation ended at 12.47pm. The body was handed to police for further action.
