EMGS cultural immersion programme brings international students closer to Malaysian life in Langkawi
An Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) cultural immersion programme in Langkawi is giving international students first-hand experience of Malaysian traditions, food, nature and community life. Students from Sweden, Algeria, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan shared how the programme helped them adapt to studying and living in Malaysia.

Raised by grandmother of another faith, Nur Hazizah enrols at UUM
Nur Hazizah Indrasafri, 24, who was raised by her Buddhist grandmother, registered as a new student at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok, Kedah. UUM is taking in 4,982 new students for the 2026/2027 academic session, including 321 international students.

UniMAP hosts first royal commissioning parade for PALAPES cadets
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is hosting the 44th Royal Commissioning Ceremony for PALAPES cadet officers in Arau, Perlis. Nearly 2,000 cadets from 20 public universities will be commissioned before about 4,000 attendees. The Raja Muda of Perlis will officiate.
