24 divers collect 110kg of debris off Mari Mari Sepanggar Island
A group of 24 scuba divers from the Sabah Dive Squad Club marked Malaysia Day by collecting 110kg of marine debris, including ghost nets, from the waters off Mari Mari Sepanggar Island near Kota Kinabalu. Two medical doctors among them said they joined to help keep the marine parks clean. The club said the underwater cleanup complements beach cleanups and urged Malaysians to cut single-use plastics.
