Sibu lorry driver retires from blood donation after 160 pints
A 65-year-old lorry driver in Sibu, Sarawak, has stopped donating blood after a doctor advised him to do so following a medical check-up in May. Chiew Kian Peng, who first donated at 21, reached 160 pints and was named top donor at the Malaysian Red Crescent Sibu branch's World Donor Day 2026 celebration for the third year running.

Meradong rep hands 20 glucometers to Bintangor Health Clinic
Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing presented 20 glucometers to Bintangor Health Clinic in Sarawak on Wednesday, saying the government will keep improving healthcare facilities for the community. He also inspected the clinic's upgraded canteen, which had new wiring, air-conditioning, fans, glass panels and doors.
