India's biggest palm oil buyer AWL to keep sourcing 70pc from Malaysia
AWL Agri Business Ltd, India's largest palm oil importer, said it will continue sourcing about 70 per cent of its 1.5 million tonnes of annual palm oil imports from Malaysia. Its managing director Shrikant Kanhere told Bernama after a meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in New Delhi that the company is also exploring branded consumer exports to Malaysia.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian told Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the BRICS summit in New Delhi that the Middle East does not need the United States as a regional policeman. The two countries are at war and contest control of the Strait of Hormuz, whose blockade has pushed oil prices past $100 a barrel.
