Fahmi: Be careful with AI-generated Jalur Gemilang graphics
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil urged Malaysians to be cautious when using AI tools to generate images of the Jalur Gemilang, warning that such applications can produce inaccurate results. Speaking at the opening of the 2026 National Malaysia Day Celebrations exhibition at Plaza Merdeka in Kuching, he reminded content creators to ensure AI-generated flags carry the correct 14 points and 14 stripes with no colour errors.

Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong said at the Digital Government Exchange 2026 in Kuching that digital transformation must make public services more seamless, accessible, inclusive and responsive. He said 445,000 civil servants are targeted for training under Nationwide AI Network 2.0, covering generative AI, productivity and workflow automation. The event, organised by Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd, focuses on AI and data-driven governance.
