Sepang to host Bahrain Grand Prix in October
Sepang International Circuit will stage the Bahrain Grand Prix from 2 to 4 October, the first time a Formula 1 race carrying another country's name is held in Malaysia. Harian Metro lists historical precedents such as the San Marino GP at Imola, the Swiss GP at Dijon and the Luxembourg GP at the Nurburgring, and says Sepang was chosen as the alternative venue after the Bahrain GP was cancelled earlier this season over geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

KLIA standardises e-hailing entry charge at RM2 for Terminals 1 and 2
KLIA has standardised the e-hailing vehicle entry charge at RM2 including tax at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, effective today. The charge was previously RM3 at Terminal 1 and RM2.16 at Terminal 2. Malaysia Airports said the move eases things for passengers and operators, with 99.3 per cent of drivers now completing pick-ups within the 10-minute grace period.

JPJ detains driver using employer's Vellfire as illegal taxi at KLIA
A 53-year-old man was detained by Selangor JPJ at Terminal 2 of KLIA for offering unlicensed taxi services to four Myanmar and Bangladesh passengers. The Toyota Vellfire used belonged to his employer and was registered as a private vehicle. The case is being investigated under the Land Public Transport Act 2010.
