Saifuddin Nasution Ismail welcomed Umno's commitment to remain in the unity government until the end of its term, following a statement by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He said it aligns with the 2022 memorandum of understanding and contributes to political stability and economic growth. Saifuddin spoke after visiting the Kampung Badlishah-Ayer Putih, Junjong road project in Kulim.

More than 2,000 residents from five villages in Serdang, Bandar Baharu, Kedah, are facing disturbances from flies and foul odors allegedly originating from a nearby poultry farm. Residents claim the problem has worsened over the past three years and are urging authorities to take firm action against the operator.

Ambulance driver pleads not guilty to reckless driving causing teenager's death
A 41-year-old ambulance driver pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate's Court in Jasin to reckless driving causing the death of an 18-year-old motorcyclist. The incident occurred at the Ayer Merbau traffic light junction in Jasin on 26 August 2026. The court set bail at RM3,000 and suspended his license.
