Police in Temerloh arrested a 29-year-old delivery rider after finding an imitation pistol and drugs worth about RM1,000 in his car at Paya Keladan on Sept 12. The man, from Bera, tested positive for drugs and has been remanded until Sept 15 under the Dangerous Drugs Act and Arms Act.

Wadda Gurdwara Sahib Penang reopens after RM6 million restoration
The 125-year-old Wadda Gurdwara Sahib Penang on Jalan Gurdwara in George Town reopened yesterday after a RM6 million restoration that began in 2004. The Category One heritage building, the oldest and largest Sikh temple in Southeast Asia, was restored with traditional materials and artisans from India, with a RM1 million donation from Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah.

Temerloh crash: girl, 9, dies after being thrown into oncoming lane; father suffers heart attack
A nine-year-old girl was killed when the motorcycle she was riding on with her father was hit by a vehicle on Jalan Temerloh-Mentakab in Temerloh, Pahang, throwing her into the opposite lane where another vehicle struck her. Her 55-year-old father survived with light injuries but suffered a heart attack after witnessing her death and was admitted to Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. Police confirmed the father had been riding without a valid driving licence and have opened an investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.

Father's motorcycle skids on Jalan Temerloh-Mentakab, nine-year-old daughter killed
A nine-year-old girl died after being thrown into oncoming traffic and hit by a vehicle when the motorcycle her father was riding skidded at Kilometre 2 of Jalan Temerloh-Mentakab in Temerloh yesterday. Her father suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Red Zone of Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah after a suspected heart attack, while the 21-year-old driver was unhurt. Police said the rider had no driving licence and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Ex-nursery caregiver pleads not guilty to abusing two-year-old

Fatal LPT1 accident: Four dead in 11-vehicle crash near Kuantan
