More than 1,000 participants rode the train from the KTMB Arau station to Padang Besar in traditional attire and sarongs. The annual Locco Malaysia initiative run by Trooper was officiated by Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah.

BERSATU Perlis denies claims 40 branches quit party
BERSATU Perlis chairman Izizam Ibrahim has denied claims that dozens of branches in the state have left the party, calling them political games by certain individuals. He said no official resignation letters were received and registration records show only a handful of branches are eligible to meet. The crisis erupted after leaders in the Padang Besar, Kangar and Arau divisions announced their resignations.

The deputy chief of BERSATU's Padang Besar division, Ramzi Md Udi, along with 14 branch chiefs from 24 branches, announced their immediate resignation from the party. They cited a loss of confidence in the central leadership and said they will join Parti Wawasan Negara (WAWASAN), led by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
