1. Sabal Forest Reserve in Simunjan to hold open days on 6-7 November

   Sabal Forest Reserve in Simunjan, Sarawak will host Sabal Open Days on 6-7 November 2026 with recreational activities including orienteering, paintball and food trucks. The Sarawak Forest Director said the programme also highlights the Healing Forest concept for physical and mental health. A RM65 million Sabal Complex under construction is expected to be completed by 2028.

2. Five RM31m tourism projects in Sadong Jaya discussed

   Five tourism development projects worth RM31 million in Sadong Jaya, Sarawak, were discussed at an IRSDA committee meeting. Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang said the projects include a waterfront, community bazaar and heritage square, and are now at the design and approval stage.

3. PM hands RM1,500 special aid to 111 families of Numbak fire victims

   Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim presented RM1,500 in special federal aid to each of the 111 households affected by the Numbak fire in Kota Kinabalu. The aid was delivered during his visit to the temporary relocation centre at Dewan Serbaguna Damai. The 30 August blaze destroyed 202 houses and killed three children.
