A group exhibition titled Infinite Expressions is being held at Mentari Art Gallery in DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside until Sept 30. It features four Malaysian artists aged 14 to 77, including a neurodivergent teenager and a veteran painter of six decades.

1,500 join World Orangutan Day Fun Walk at Putrajaya Botanical Garden
More than 1,500 participants took part in the World Orangutan Day 2026 celebration at Taman Botani Putrajaya, organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Green Conservation Foundation (MPOGCF) and launched by Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad. The main event was a 10km, 5km and 3km Fun Walk, with all entry fees channelled to the MPOGCF Conservation Fund for the Orang Utan Diplomacy (OUDip) programme.

F1 returns to Sepang in October, projected to generate RM1.3 billion
The rescheduled Bahrain Grand Prix will be held at Sepang International Circuit from Oct 2 to 4, 2026, marking Formula 1's return to Malaysia for the first time since 2017. HLIB Research estimates the event could generate RM1.1 billion to RM1.3 billion in economic output, with tourism spending as the main driver.

Maritime agency detains 33 undocumented Indonesians off Port Dickson

50 undocumented migrants deported to Indonesia via KLIA
A total of 50 undocumented migrants held at the Semenyih Detention Depot were deported to Indonesia on two flights from KLIA yesterday. Their airfare was funded by the Indonesian government, with 16 detainees flying to Jakarta and the rest to Medan.

Helicopter crash pilot's remains expected to be buried in Senawang tomorrow
The remains of Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, the pilot killed in the Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) helicopter crash at Long Lellang, Sarawak, are expected to be buried in Senawang tomorrow. The family is still waiting for DNA test results before the body is brought home, with burial to take place at the Forest Height Islamic Cemetery after prayers at Masjid Bandar Baru Senawang.

Fence wall under construction collapses in Taman Jayamas, three cars damaged
In Taman Jayamas, Seremban, a house fence wall under construction collapsed at about 3am during heavy rain, crushing three neighbours' cars parked outside the house. The vehicles involved were a Toyota Vios, a Perodua Viva and a Proton Persona, and no injuries were reported. The contractor has been informed and will rebuild the collapsed wall.

Malayan tapir dies after being hit by car near Terachi
A 250kg male Malayan tapir was struck by a car at Km24 of Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah near the Terachi police station late last night. It suffered a broken front leg and internal injuries, and was confirmed dead this morning. The carcass was taken to the Jempol Perhilitan office for disposal under standard procedures.

Unclothed man's body found on Sungai Langat bank in Bangi

Timah Langat health clinic only 56% done since 2023, contractor warned

Aiman retains national individual time trial title for seventh time
Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli of Terengganu Cycling Team defended his elite men's individual time trial title at the 2026 National Road Championships in Rembau and Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. F1 Bahrain GP preparations at Sepang 80 pct complete, says minister

Upgrading works at SIC began on Sept 7 and 500 volunteers have been identified for training. Malaysia will host the race from Oct 2-4, bringing F1 back after nine years.
