Missing man in Ulu Sebuloh forest still not found, SAR enters fifth day
A 51-year-old man, Freddie aManggie, remains missing after five days in the Ulu Sebuloh forest, Nanga Temalat, Song, Sarawak. He entered the forest with his brother-in-law on 8 September to look for daun sabung before complaining of stomach pain and failing to return. The SAR operation involving 24 personnel from Bomba, PDRM, APM and villagers continues today.

Man drowns after jumping into Sungai Perak to retrieve drifting boat
A 38-year-old man was found drowned after jumping into Sungai Perak at Batu 18, Kampung Kuchai, Bota Kiri near Parit, yesterday. His body was found floating about four kilometres from where he jumped at 2pm, after a search operation by 30 personnel from the Perak Fire and Rescue Department.

Teen tried to pass a stick but could not reach uncle feared drowned in Sungai Perak
A 38-year-old man is feared drowned after jumping into Sungai Perak to retrieve a drifting boat at Batu 18, Kampung Kuchai, Bota Kiri, Perak, yesterday evening. His 13-year-old nephew said he tried to hand him a stick but it did not reach before the man went under. A search-and-rescue operation involving 26 firemen, including divers and a K9 dog, began this morning.

Nine crosses united at Sibu Gateway as Malaysia Pastoral Convention 2026 opens
Nine crosses representing Malaysia's Catholic dioceses and archdioceses were joined into one Cross at Sibu Gateway on Wednesday night, opening the Malaysia Pastoral Convention 2026. About 1,000 delegates from across the country joined the Opening Mass and a procession to Kingwood Hotel, where the Cross became the focus of the five-day gathering running until Sept 13.

Farmer, 51, missing in Ulu Sebuloh forest after searching for Sabung leaves
A 51-year-old farmer has been reported missing in the Ulu Sebuloh forest area in Song, Sarawak, after going out to look for Sabung leaves with his nephew. A search and rescue operation has been launched, but the man has not been found.
