Timah Langat health clinic only 56% done since 2023, contractor warned
The construction of a Type 3 health clinic with staff quarters in Timah Langat, Dengkil, has reached only 56 per cent progress since work began in 2023. Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the contractor and site supervisor were given stern warnings after a surprise site visit, while the Works Ministry also assessed the project.

F1 Bahrain GP preparations at Sepang 80 pct complete, says minister
Preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit are 80 per cent complete, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said in Putrajaya. Upgrading works at SIC began on Sept 7 and 500 volunteers have been identified for training. Malaysia will host the race from Oct 2-4, bringing F1 back after nine years.

Two drivers held over speed test on Putra Bridge, cars seized
Putrajaya police arrested two male drivers aged 19 and 21 after a viral video showed them testing speeds on Putra Bridge. A Proton and a Honda were seized, one driver had no valid licence and expired road tax, and both were issued traffic summonses.

MACC hands eight governance recommendations on JPN shop lot rentals
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission presented eight recommendations to the National Registration Department to improve governance of shop lot, stall and kiosk rental contracts. The recommendations were presented at JPN headquarters and cover application mechanisms, written agreements and security screening of private workers. JPN welcomed the recommendations and signed a Governance Improvement Report.

Police hunt drivers over speed test on Putra Bridge, Putrajaya
Putrajaya police are tracking down the individuals and vehicles involved in a speed-testing stunt on Jambatan Putra, Putrajaya, after a 25-second video was uploaded to Threads. The district police chief said the case is being investigated under Section 81 of the Road Transport Act 1987 and warned the public against racing on public roads.

Video of suspected street race on Putrajaya main road sparks concern, Radzi to contact police
A video showing vehicles believed to be racing and testing their speed on a main road in Putrajaya at night has gone viral on social media, raising safety concerns among users. Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said he will contact the Putrajaya district police headquarters for more details. Last Saturday, Putrajaya police launched an operation against street racers and seized 14 vehicles, including 13 motorcycles, at Lebuh Sentosa.
