1. Maritime expert seeks written explanation on RM220m K8 cargo handling at Tanjung Langsat

   Maritime expert Datuk Seri R Jeyenderan has urged authorities to issue a written explanation on the regulatory treatment of two petroleum cargoes worth over RM220 million under Customs K8 procedure at Tanjung Langsat, Johor. He said tank records, cargo custody and testing are key to determining how the cargo was handled after discharge, and that his company acted only as ship agent. MACC said its checks so far found no basis for an offence under the MACC Act 2009.

2. Couple and third driver killed in crash on Kota Tinggi-Kluang road

   A husband and wife died after the Perodua Axia they were in collided with a Honda BRV at Kilometre 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi-Kluang road in Johor. The BRV's passenger, Mohd Noor Selamat, 58, was also killed. The couple were buried in a single grave at the Kampung Tanjung Buai Islamic cemetery in Kota Tinggi.
