Punca kematian ikan di Tebingan Sungai Sarawak belum dikenal pasti
Ratusan ikan ditemui mati di perairan Tebingan Sungai Sarawak, khususnya sekitar Kampung Boyan dan Kampung Gersik di Kuching. Lembaga Sungai-Sungai Sarawak bersama Jabatan Pertanian Sarawak dan NREB masih menunggu keputusan analisis makmal sampel air dan ikan yang diambil pada 12 dan 14 September. Punca sebenar kematian ikan belum dapat dipastikan.

Man in Beaufort jailed 16 years, caned 10 strokes for raping daughter
Kota Kinabalu: A 47-year-old man was sentenced to 16 years' jail and ordered to receive 10 strokes of the cane by the Sessions Court here for raping his 18-year-old daughter.

Lab results awaited after mass fish deaths in Sarawak River near Kuching Waterfront
Large numbers of fish were found dead along the Sarawak River near the Kuching Waterfront and Kampung Gersik-Boyan on Saturday morning. State agencies including NREB, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Fisheries have taken water and fish samples for laboratory analysis. Deputy Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh said the cause cannot yet be speculated on and promised a thorough investigation.

5,000 ekar di Beaufort dicadang sebagai jelapang padi

Penolong Menteri Pertanian Sabah Datuk Ruslan Muharam berkata kawasan itu berpotensi dibangunkan dengan kaedah pertanian moden bagi meningkatkan pengeluaran beras dan memperkukuh keselamatan makanan Sabah. Kuching court fines caregiver RM5,000 for injuring autistic girl
A 51-year-old woman was fined RM5,000 by the Sessions Court in Kuching for abusing a five-year-old autistic girl under her care. The offence occurred at a rehabilitation centre in Kuching in May 2025, and the court also ordered her to serve 100 hours of community service and be of good behaviour for three years.

Teen motorcyclist dies after crashing into road barrier in Beaufort
A teenage boy died on Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed into a road barrier along Jalan Kampung Betanduk towards Kota Klias in Beaufort, Sabah. Police received a report at 8.14pm and confirmed the victim died at the scene. In separate incidents, police detained a man for drug possession in Kampung Nukahan and a woman for illegal gambling in Papar.
