Private helicopters aid Nepal flood rescue, Malaysian in Pokhara gives update
A Malaysian residing in Pokhara, Nepal, reports that dozens of helicopters, including from the private sector, are operating daily to assist search and rescue operations for victims of the glacial flood in Nepal. Mohd Noor Mat Amin said several main routes remain closed and he is in constant contact with the Malaysian Embassy in Nepal. The death toll from the glacial flood in the Himalayan region has reportedly risen to 1,066, with 4,462 others still missing.
