Fertiliser supplier's managing director remanded over delayed Baja 3 distribution in Kedah
A managing director of a fertiliser supply company has been remanded until 16 September after MACC detained him over delays in distributing Baja 3 to padi farmers in Kedah. The investigation under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 involves a shortfall of 282,360 bags from the 616,015 bags due to about 60,000 farmers in the MADA area.

McDonald's Malaysia held its Piknik Famili Terbesar @ Mekdi at two East Coast locations, Pengkalan Chepa in Kelantan and Pantai Batu Buruk in Terengganu, on 5 September. Alor Setar High Court rejects GISBH challenge against Kedah fatwa
The Alor Setar High Court dismissed an application by GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd and its CEO Nasiruddin Ali to challenge a Kedah fatwa declaring GISBH a deviant teachings organisation. Judge Evawani Farisyta Mohammad ruled the civil court has no jurisdiction as the fatwa involves the Sultan's prerogative. GISBH and Nasiruddin will appeal, after similar challenges in Shah Alam and Kangar were also rejected.
