Malaysia, Thailand sign new PSC and GSA for Block A-18-01 in MTJDA
Malaysia and Thailand signed a new Production Sharing Contract (PSC) and Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) for Block A-18-01 in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok. Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the deals secure the block's continued development and support both countries' energy security, with PETRONAS and PTT involved in the GSA.

Malaysian embassy in Bangkok hosts National Day reception for 750 guests
The Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok held a National Day reception at a hotel in Bang Rak on Friday night, attended by more than 750 guests including diplomats, Malaysian professionals and business leaders. Ambassador Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah said both countries aim for US$30 billion in bilateral trade by next year and called for closer economic integration. Thai Culture Minister Sabeeda Thaised was guest of honour, and guests were served Malaysian dishes with cultural performances.
