Maans: Sabah must be a geopark player, not an observer
Maans president Murug Vinangun Shalmon Sanangan said Sabah should become a key player in the international geopark network rather than merely watching it develop. He said Sabah's participation in the 9th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium 2026 in Langkawi was a strategic chance to build international links through communities, indigenous heritage, culture and conservation. He also said Sekolah Adat Anak Negeri Sabah will add Global Geopark as a subject.

Resorts World Langkawi and ONE°15 Marina have partnered to develop ONE°15 Marina Langkawi, a new marina with over 90 berths for luxury yachts up to 140 feet. The Langkawi project is expected to receive its first yacht in the second half of 2027 and aims to strengthen Langkawi's position as a regional marine tourism hub.
