1. Caterer at Lenggong boarding school ordered to close after 159 fall ill

   A caterer serving a boarding school in Lenggong, Perak has been ordered to close after 159 students and staff developed symptoms of suspected food poisoning. The Hulu Perak District Health Office inspected the premises and ordered the closure under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

The Perak Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 4.04am and the blaze was fully extinguished by 6.24am. No victims were reported, but a Proton Preve car was also damaged.

4. Three men arrested, stolen excavator in Lenggong recovered

   Police arrested three men suspected of stealing an excavator in Kampung Sumpitan, Lenggong. The suspects, aged 29 to 66, were detained in two raids in Ipoh and Gerik. Police also seized a Mitsubishi ES110 excavator and a mobile phone.
