Penang student enters USM after caring for sick mother and siblings
Muhammad Adam Iskandar Azharunaim, 20, has begun his undergraduate studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia after years of caring for his cancer-stricken mother and three siblings, one of them disabled. His father died of Covid-19 five years ago and his mother died on 24 August. He had earlier turned down a place at UIAM and chose Form Six to stay with his family.

STPM top student who cared for siblings after mother's death starts at USM
Muhammad Adam Iskandar Azharunaim, 20, who looked after his three siblings after their mother died of brain cancer on 24 August, has begun his studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Georgetown. His father died of COVID-19 in 2021, and his 16-year-old brother, who is disabled, is studying culinary skills at SMK Serdang Baru in Kedah.

F1 returns to Sepang in October, projected to generate RM1.3 billion
The rescheduled Bahrain Grand Prix will be held at Sepang International Circuit from Oct 2 to 4, 2026, marking Formula 1's return to Malaysia for the first time since 2017. HLIB Research estimates the event could generate RM1.1 billion to RM1.3 billion in economic output, with tourism spending as the main driver.

F1 Bahrain GP preparations at Sepang 80 pct complete, says minister
Preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit are 80 per cent complete, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said in Putrajaya. Upgrading works at SIC began on Sept 7 and 500 volunteers have been identified for training. Malaysia will host the race from Oct 2-4, bringing F1 back after nine years.

77 foreigners detained in Nilai immigration operation
Malaysia's Immigration Department in Negeri Sembilan detained 77 undocumented migrants at two industrial premises in Nilai. The 65 men, 11 women and one girl were held for various offences under the Immigration Act and placed at the Lenggeng immigration depot.
