Elderly man in Segari left 100 money envelopes for his funeral rites
A 93-year-old man in Segari, Manjung, Perak died on 5 September of old age. Before his death he had prepared more than 100 envelopes of money to be given to those who handled his funeral. The family later found the envelopes and used the money for tahlil prayers and donations to a mosque in his name.

Two men held over electric cable theft in Ayer Tawar
Police arrested two local men suspected of stealing electric cables around Kampung Sungai Ramai near Ayer Tawar yesterday. Seized items included 102 black cables of various sizes and burnt cable pieces. The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code and Section 235 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998; both suspects are remanded for four days.

Three held, RM50,000 of TNB cable seized in Ayer Tawar
Manjung police arrested three men suspected of stealing Tenaga Nasional Berhad electrical cable around Kampung Sungai Ramai, Ayer Tawar. Forty-three lengths of TNB-marked cable worth about RM50,000 were found in a lorry, and the suspects were remanded four days.
