KESAS highway crash: van slams into trailer lorry, 9 injured including child
A van crashed into the back of a trailer lorry near a petrol station on the KESAS highway in Kuala Lumpur, injuring nine people including a child. Fashion designer acquitted of drug trafficking after three years in remand
The Shah Alam High Court has acquitted and discharged fashion designer G Chelvan of a charge of trafficking over 3kg of methamphetamine. Judicial Commissioner Norhisham Ismail ruled that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case. Chelvan had been in detention at Sungai Buloh Prison since his arrest in March 2023.
