Expert urges transparent scorecard for Pengerang complex performance

Industry expert Datuk Seri R. Jeyenderan has called for a transparent scorecard to evaluate the operational and financial performance of the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC). He said the multibillion-ringgit investment should be assessed against clear indicators like plant utilisation, unplanned shutdowns, and financial strength, extending beyond just financial performance to include contributions to Malaysia's energy security. Jeyenderan also suggested governance improvements, including independent audits and reconciliation of petroleum cargo movements.
