iQIYI drama controversy spurs call to tighten OTT content guidelines

The president of the Television Producers Association of Malaysia (PTVM), Datuk Jurey Latiff Rosli, issued a statement regarding the controversy over the drama Madu atau Racun on iQIYI. He urged the government and industry players to hold an engagement session to refine digital content guidelines, especially for OTT platforms. PTVM proposed an engagement session involving the Communications Ministry, FINAS, MCMC, CMCF, JAKIM and OTT platform representatives.
