Kuala Perlis Water Festival 2026 aims to attract international tourists

The Kuala Perlis International Water Festival 2026, held at Dataran Kampung Wai in Kangar, is seen as a way to introduce Kuala Perlis' identity and heritage as a coastal tourism destination. Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah said the festival can also drive the state's economic growth through increased tourist spending. The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, officiated the opening ceremony.
