11 detained in Ipoh over machete attack linked to organised crime

Police in Perak have arrested 11 people in connection with a machete attack in Taman Pengkalan Jaya, Ipoh, on September 1. The 26-year-old victim was chased and slashed after jumping into Sungai Kinta to escape his attackers. Police believe the attack was motivated by revenge and dissatisfaction from an organised crime group.
