Keningau firefighters battle paddy field and bush fires during hot spell

Several fires were reported in Keningau, Sabah, including in paddy fields along Jalan Kota Ayangan and in Kampung Tigot, as well as a bush fire in Kampung Keningau. Firefighters were deployed to contain the blazes, with one bush fire on Tuesday destroying about one acre of vegetation. The district fire chief advised the public against indiscriminate open burning.
