Haze in Sarawak deters tourists, says state minister

Sarawak's Tourism Minister says the ongoing haze has started to reduce tourist arrivals to the state. He expressed concern about upcoming events like the Borderland Music Festival in Kuching and Jom Heboh in Miri, advising organisers to heed the state disaster committee's advice. The haze also led to a state of emergency being declared in the Serian Division after the API reading hit 514.
