Merdeka Textile Museum opens at Merdeka 118, blending heritage with technology

The Merdeka Textile Museum (MTM) has opened at Merdeka 118, next to the historic Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur. The museum showcases Malay world textiles like batik, chindai and telepuk across eight galleries themed 'The Malay World in Thread and Tales'. The official opening was graced by Raja Permaisuri Agong, Raja Zarith Sofiah, and the museum uses multimedia technology and augmented reality to bring the stories behind each piece of cloth to life.
