Singapore data centre firms seek transition time for new green energy rules
Data centre operators in Singapore have asked for sufficient time to meet new energy-efficiency requirements under the proposed Digital Infrastructure Bill. The feedback was given during a public consultation, and the Bill was tabled in Parliament on Sept 8. If passed, major operators will need a licence by mid-2027 and could face fines for non-compliance.
