Court orders 4 defendants in Kim Kim pollution case to pay RM100,000 costs to 171 victims

The Civil High Court in Johor Bahru ruled that 171 victims of the 2019 Sungai Kim Kim toxic waste pollution have won their civil suit against four defendants, including a tyre processing factory. The court ordered the defendants to pay RM100,000 in legal costs, while compensation claims totaling RM33 million are still pending assessment.
