NRES: National Climate Bill balances mitigation, adaptation
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) said the proposed National Climate Change Bill (RUU PIN) is a legislative framework covering both climate change mitigation and adaptation measures. It complements existing policies and will be supported by the National Adaptation Plan (MyNAP) and a Climate Change Fund. The statement was issued in response to views that the Bill prioritised mitigation over adaptation.
