New book uncovers 1,000 years of Malay history in Singapore

A heritage researcher, Mr Sarafian Salleh, 56, will launch his book '1000 Years of Sejarah Melayu in Singapore' on 12 September at The Pod, National Library Board (NLB). The book highlights Singapore's or Temasek's role as an important trading centre in Malay archipelago history, based on Persian explorers' records calling it 'Sabana Emporio'.
